Creating A Task For Deals

Learn how to efficiently create tasks for your deals.

Tasks encompass to-do items that you can generate for both contacts and deals, and this article will guide you through the process of creating them.

Steps To Create A Task For Deals

  1. Navigate to "Deals" in the left menu and select the desired deal.

     

  2. On the Deal Details page, access the "Add a Task" modal using one of these methods:

    1. Click the Action button at the top right, then choose "Add a Task."

       

       

    2. Click "Add a Task" in the Tasks widget.

       

       

  3. Fill in the required details in the modal, such as Title, Task Type, and Assigned to. (Note that you can assign deal tasks to an account user with pipeline viewing permissions; if unassigned, we will automatically handle the task assignment.)

     

     

  4. Set the Due Date and Due Time.

  5. Optionally, explore "Show more options" to set reminders or trigger automations.

     

     

  6. Provide a brief task description for additional context.

  7. Finally, click "Save Task" to save it, and the task will be visible on the deal's details page.
